Hopelessness, Attitude, & Convictions

When the truth gets smeared like a wet letter,
And we wonder if everything will get better,
With insults, sarcasm, and put downs,
And being negative always surrounds,
I wonder how things will be solved and answers be found,
If it is so cool to be bad,
Is everything diminishing, it all makes me so sad,
Or is this a passing fad?
With television, the nanny, with its hourless resume,
With conspiracies, fraud, and lies from toe to toupee,
Making robbery, rape, and murder the norm,
And that is just the tip of the iceberg, the outside of the storm,
The real verdict is out bad attitude,
With less kindness, true friends, and gratitude,
I try to turn my head and disagree,
But get caught in the act and abolish the charge before I off the tee,
They’re trying to steal your body and your soul,
Don’t let them take them take them and chance the roll,
People say don’t think just feel,
But you have to believe in something, get real!
With everything so relative, it is hard to trust,
TO HEAVEN, OR HELL, OR BUST!
Again I turn my head in disgust,
I believe I must,
But feelings fade away and rust,
Things are always harder to believe in,
Than not to when,
Our world glorifies gore,
And thinks all else Holy is bore,
I just say because:
It’s harder to believe, than to ignore the fuzzy fuss.
